And when a job genuinely calls for hands-on help, our guides say so — and tell you what a licensed local pro should be checking, so you know what good work looks like before you hire anyone.
Why we built this
Most pest problems start with a question. What is this? Should I worry? Is this a spring swarm or just a random bug? People search for answers and land on pages that skip straight to "book now" without ever explaining the problem.
We wanted the opposite. Charlotte's humid subtropical climate means pest pressure here never fully shuts off, even in our mild winters. That's a lot to understand — the termites common to North Carolina swarming after spring rains, mosquito season stretching across the warm months, rodents pushing in from wooded and creek-adjacent lots. Our job is to make that understandable so you can make a good decision.

If we ever recommend a pro, here's the bar
Right now, this site is a guide — plain answers, no directory, and nobody paying us for placement. If we add recommendations for local professionals down the road, here's the commitment in advance: licensed companies only, licensing confirmed current and in good standing before anyone earns a spot, and a track record that holds up over time — consistency, not marketing polish. No invented reviews or testimonials, and a company won't be able to buy a better placement from us. Anyone who stops meeting the bar comes off the list.
The point is simple: we'd rather have no list at all than an unverified one. If we ever send you to someone, it'll be because we'd be comfortable sending a neighbor.
Where we work
